Headteacher Welcome
On behalf of the staff, governors, children and parents may I extend a very warm welcome to you and your family to Newnham Infant and Nursery School.
In our school we aim to create a happy, caring and stimulating learning environment where children can begin to take their first steps towards a growing independence and learning how to learn. We seek to build upon the experiences each child brings from home.
All staff at Newnham, both teaching and support staff work as a team. We are committed to the development of each child as an individual. Our aim is to encourage children to work to the best of their abilities and realise their full potential in all aspects of learning and development social, emotional, physical, intellectual, spiritual and moral.
The school fulfils the statutory duty placed on schools by The Race Relations (Amendment) Act 2000, promoting good race relations and racial equality and all aspects of the Equality Act 2010.
We believe that everyone is special and we can all learn from one another.
It is our sincere hope that by working together as a partnership of staff, parents and governors we will ensure that the children have the best opportunities for progress and will aspire to our high expectations. This will provide a deep and firm foundation for the whole of their school life and beyond.
The purpose of this website is to provide you with general information about Newnham Infant and Nursery School. We hope that you will find it helpful.
As Headteacher, I very much look forward to meeting you and, together with all staff, fostering a happy and trusting partnership with you and your family.
